<image:title>Pricing - How do I decide the price of therapy?</image:title>
<image:caption>During a therapy session, your therapist is fully present and ‘actively listens’. This is a skill that means we do not only listen to what you say but also what you do not say. We use advanced empathy to be able to attune to you, while maintaining appropriate boundaries between your world and ours, so that we can use our knowledge and experience to make effective decisions on how to help you. So think of this as I will be able to enter into your world and experience it with you but step back into mine so that I can gain perspective on what steps are needed next to help you reach your goal. I dedicate time to you outside the sessions, researching your specific problem area and also I am committed to continual professional development, to ensure that I am always equipped with the appropriate knowledge and skills needed to meet the complex needs of each client in today’s forever changing world. It is for these reasons that as a therapist, I ethically limit the amount of therapy sessions I offer on a weekly basis. This enables me to be the best therapist I can be for each of my clients. To ensure my clients safety, I am registered with the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapist (BACP), this means that I am required to practice my therapy in accordance with their Ethical Framework. You can find more about this on www.bacp.co.uk. The therapeutic relationship is a collaborative relationship and if client and therapist both commit to the process it can effectively change your life. This is the value of good therapy.</image:caption>

<image:title>What is Counselling - An Introduction to Counselling and Psychotherapy</image:title>
<image:caption>You may have realised that you are experiencing some difficulties and may need help. You may be unsure about what counselling is and if it is right for you. Many people also ask what the difference is between counselling and psychotherapy. Counselling refers to shorter term work, that is aimed at helping you deal with a specific problem area in your life. It tends to be more present day focused and equips you with the tools to be able to manage your challenges in that specific area. Counselling can help people with anxiety, depression, stress, assertiveness, boundaries, self awareness, emotional difficulties, addiction, symptoms of trauma, coping with changes, relationship difficulties and many more challenges that we naturally experience at some point in our lives. Psychotherapy is slightly different in that more time is taken to help you understand the root cause of your difficulties. With psychotherapy, a greater degree of personal insight is gained in how we learned to think, feel and act the way we do. With both therapies, your therapist provides you with a safe place so that you can explore your thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment from another person. This process of exploring your own internal world helps you to discover your authentic self and increases your autonomy to live a life that feels good for you.</image:caption>
